Significant traumatic cartilage injuries can have devastating long-term consequences. Dr. Coulin uses cutting-edge repair techniques to promote cartilage regeneration. He uses techniques involving collagen membranes and cell therapies.
As a physician also dedicated to emergency care, Dr. Coulin benefits from 24-hour emergency surgical care. He is frequently faced with the treatment of accident victims and a large number of fractures affecting the upper and lower limbs.
His surgical training, initially acquired in orthopedic surgery and traumatology at the Geneva University Hospitals, has been enhanced over the years.
Committed to providing his patients with the best in science and medical and surgical care, Dr. Coulin has traveled the world to learn from internationally renowned surgeons. He continued his surgical training at the Santy Center, alongside Professor Sonnery-Cottet in Lyon, France, a world-renowned expert, particularly in the treatment of anterior cruciate ligament tears. This experience allowed Dr. Coulin to master the repair techniques used for high-level athletes.
In his quest for excellence, he then chose one of the best osteoarthritis care centers in Europe, working alongside Professor Lustig. It was there that he deepened his subspecialization in knee and hip replacement surgery. Then to further perfect his skills, particularly in robotic surgery, he worked in Boston, at Brigham's and Women's Hospital, and at Massachusetts General
Hospital and then in New York, at the prestigious Hospital for Special Surgery.
Currently a private consultant in Geneva, Dr Coulin operates mainly at the Clinique des Grangettes and the Clinique de la Colline.
Dr. Coulin is a member of several European and international learned societies, as well as a global network of highly specialized surgeons. This membership allows him to benefit from a constant exchange of expertise, particularly for the management of complex cases, where the optimal therapeutic decision requires a high level of consultation.
Among his many distinctions, he was a laureate of the orthopedic and trauma surgery examinations in Switzerland and Europe, as well as a graduate of Harvard Medical School.
Passionate about innovation and new technologies, Dr. Coulin actively collaborates with many companies specializing in health, particularly in the development of new treatments, especially for the management of cartilage damage.
With exceptional commitment and boundless passion, Dr. Coulin and his team strive to find a link between your complaints and a solution, whether surgical or not.
Beyond surgery, he wants to inspire and motivate patients to adopt a more active lifestyle, an essential condition for an overall healthier life, thus reducing the risks of morbidity and mortality.
